This affinity purified Nrf2 antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and by western blot. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 66.9 kDa in size corresponding to Nrf-2 proteins by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract.

This affinity-purified antibody is directed against mouse Nrf2 protein. The product was affinity purified from monospecific antiserum by immunoaffinity purification. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross reactivity with Nrf2 proteins from human, mouse, rat and bovine based on 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologues from other sources is not known.

Store vial at -20° C prior to opening. Aliquot contents and freeze at -20° C or below for extended storage. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing. Centrifuge product if not completely clear after standing at room temperature. This product is stable for several weeks at 4° C as an undiluted liquid. Dilute only prior to immediate use.

Nrf2 links the transcriptional modulation of key metabolic genes to cellular growth and development and has been implicated in the control of nuclear genes required for respiration, heme biosynthesis, and mitochondrial DNA transcription and replication. Nrf2 is localized in the cytoplasm and nucleus and ubiquitously expressed with the highest concentrations in the kidney, muscle, lung, heart, liver, and brain. Anti-Nrf2 antibody is useful for researchers interested in cellular growth, transcription factor, and cancer research.
