Recombinant CD25 is supplied as a 0.2 um filtered PBS solution, pH7.2.

Recombinant CD25, as supplied, can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C to -70 degree C for twelve months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Domain: Extracellular. Host Note: Optimized DNA sequence encoding extracellular domain of human CD25 including a C-terminal polyHis tag was expressed in HEK293 cells. Biological Activity: The activity of recombinant IL-2Ra (CD25) was determined by its ability to bind Human IL-2 with an affinity constant of 30nM. Presentation: Recombinant CD25 is supplied as a 0.2um filtered PBS solution pH 7.4. Reconstitution: A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water to prepare a stock solution concentration not less than 0.1mg/ml.

Endotoxin: Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method. Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug). Molecular Weight Note: Recombinant CD25 is a monomer protein consisting of 203 amino acid residue subunits, due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 44 kDa protein on SDS-PAGE.

The interleukin 2 (IL2) receptor alpha (IL2RA) and beta (IL2RB) chains, together with the common gamma chain (IL2RG), constitute the high-affinity IL2 receptor. Homodimeric alpha chains (IL2RA) result in low-affinity receptor, while homodimeric beta (IL2RB) chains produce a medium-affinity receptor. Normally an integral-membrane protein, soluble IL2RA has been isolated and determined to result from extracellular proteolyisis. Alternately-spliced IL2RA mRNAs have been isolated, but the significance of each is presently unknown.
