Recombinant CD31 is supplied as a 0.2 um filtered PBS solution, pH7.2.

Recombinant CD31, as supplied, can be stored in working aliquots at 2 degree - 8 degree C for one month, or at -20 degree C to -70 degree C for twelve months. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Platelet/endothelial cell adhesion molecule 1, also known as CD31, is a member of the Ig gene superfamily expressed at high density at the lateral borders of endothelial cells and at a lower density on the surface of hematopoietic cells including T lymphocytes. By establishing homophilic interactions between endothelium- and leukocyte- expressed CD31, this molecule has been shown to facilitate leukocyte transendothelial migration (TEM) in vitro and in vivo.
