PRDM6 is a member of PR domain family of proteins associated with gene regulation and chromatin remodeling. It functions as a transcriptional repressor through interactions with Histone H4 deacetylases and methyltransferases. Expressed in vascular precursor cells, PRDM6 is believed to play a role in the development and differentiation of vascular tissue.
